We stand firm in our position that there’s no single internal or external remedy that will provide safe & effective protection against parasites such as fleas. Please read our blog to learn about a Natural Rearing holistic approach that focuses on the animal’s environment. In our opinion, this Natural Rearing holistic approach is the only truly effective and safe way to eliminate or control fleas.
FEEDING SUGGESTIONS: Neem is a bitter-tasting herb and some animals may not readily consume this blend because of this characteristic. We suggest mixing into a very small amount of a very tasty treat or smelly snack. For example: a small amount of raw green tripe, canned seafood, a favorite broth, healthy fat (ghee, lard, hemp or coconut oil), liver pate, raw milk/yogurt or butter, or Red Gold Raw. Please do not mix into to their primary food or regular meal because this may put them “off” their daily/regular food, by association, if they truly dislike the bitter flavor of the neem.
FEEDING RATE AND HOW TO ADMINISTER:
- Give 1/4 tsp per every 20-lbs body weight mixed into food (see above).
- Give daily for 30-days to build up in their system. Then, for long-term use, feed with regular breaks.
- Many have maintained the desired effect with feeding just 2-days per week. Other popular dosing schedules include feeding: 4 -days on/3-days off, or 2-weeks on/1-week off.
- Alternatively, just feed seasonally, only when fleas/insects are a problem.
INGREDIENTS (County of Origin): ORG Neem Leaf (India), ORG Garlic (USA), ORG Thyme (Austria), ORG Oregano Leaf (Turkey), ORG Fennel Seed (Egypt). Note: Contains a non-toxic clay desiccant packet.
HANDLING: Store in a cool, dark, dry place. Shelf stable.
ABOUT THE HERBS USED IN FORCE FIELD
GARLIC has a long history of safe use with various powerful health benefits for dogs and cats including:
- Improved immune function, expulsion of worms, repelling insects like fleas & ticks, and benefiting overall health.
- Supports the liver, aids in detoxification, and balances the digestive system.
- Contains inulin which is a prebiotic fiber that supports beneficial bacteria in the digestive tract while eliminating harmful bacteria.
- When consumed, the sulfur content of garlic excretes through the skin, deterring pests such as fleas, tick and other biting insects.
- In Traditional Chinese Medicine, garlic is warming and improves circulation; it supports the lungs, large intestine, spleen, and stomach.
- Contains antioxidant vitamins A and C, B-complex vitamins, and minerals (zinc, potassium, magnesium, manganese, selenium) that support a well-functioning immune system.
- Say, "no" to Chinese garlic. China is the largest supplier of garlic to the U.S. Most companies use imported garlic in their products. There are a number of very serious issues related to this, including: extremely inhumane/unsanitary working conditions, product health, and safety concerns, as well as how garlic imports negatively impacts small US growers. Our certified organic garlic is 100% grown and processed in the US. In addition, as for all of our ingredients, we have COA reports to verify purity and safety.
NEEM is often referred to as the "wonder tree" or "nature's pharmacy" due to its numerous medicinal and therapeutic properties. A versatile plant with a rich history in holistic medicine, it boasts over 140 active compounds that offer powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. Neem's uses range from treating ulcers, gastrointestinal issues, to supporting oral health and healthy skin. It has been used for over 6,400 years in India for various health purposes, and every part of the tree has agricultural, healing, and medicinal uses.
- In Ayurveda, neem is known for cleansing the blood, promoting skin health, and supporting the immune system.
- Bitter and very cooling, neem is widely used for nearly all types of pitta and kapha imbalances.
- Considered easily digestible, it is suitable for many ailments, though prolonged internal use can cause dryness in the body. To offset this, it's recommended to feed along with healthy fats and/or with food, and feed it intermittently along with regular breaks, or perhaps just seasonally.
- Renowned for supporting natural detoxification, healthy skin, and a healthy immune system.
- Provides a concentrated source of antioxidants.
- Helps repel pests like fleas and ticks.
- Used for treating allergies and skin rashes.
- Maintains a healthy gut.
- Studies on rats have shown that neem may have potential benefits for liver and kidney health.
FENNEL SEED offers various benefits, thanks to its powerful antioxidants like vitamin C and quercetin.
- Can reduce inflammation and inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria and yeasts.
- Aids digestion, prevents bloating, and supports healthy bowel movements.
- Freshens breath, provides essential nutrients, and has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that combat free radicals and may help in the fight against cancer.
- Contributes to a healthy immune system, prostate gland, teeth, bones, and blood pressure while relaxing the digestive tract and eliminating stomach cramps.
OREGANO LEAF is a valuable addition to your pet's diet due to its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties. Terpenes, particularly carvacrol and thymol, contribute to its health benefits, including potential anti-inflammatory effects. For pets dealing with yeast issues, oregano can help regulate yeast overgrowth. Additionally, oregano supports digestive health by reducing bloating, gas, and other digestive problems, thanks to antioxidants that protect the digestive system.
THYME LEAF naturally combats fungus, bacteria, viruses, and even parasites like hookworm. It improves digestion, has antiseptic, tonic, and antioxidant properties, and can alleviate muscle spasms. Thyme also acts as an expectorant, helps with hairball removal, and enhances immunity through vitamin C and antioxidants. It's safe to consume and supports overall health.
CAUTIONS: Individuals may experience negative or allergic reactions to any product. Should this happen, discontinue use.
PRECAUTIONS FOR SPECIFIC INGREDIENTS: Neem may cause infertility; do not use in breeding or nursing animals. Long-term use or very high doses may be contraindicated in animals with advanced renal or hepatic disease; please consult with your veterinarian or herbalist. Because it activates the immune system, it may be a risk for those with serious autoimmune diseases who are on immunosuppressive drugs or for organ transplant patients. Diabetics should carefully monitor blood sugar levels when using neem. Garlic may interact adversely with certain medications including immune suppressants, heart medications, chemotherapy drugs, blood thinners, insulin, and high blood pressure drugs. Avoid garlic for two weeks before any scheduled surgery. Pets with chronic digestive issues like inflammatory bowel disease should start with a small dose at first and gradually increase the dose to the recommended amount because the fructans (inulin and oligofructose) in garlic act as powerful prebiotics that support a healthy gut microflora, but this may also cause a shift in the microbiome which could cause gas or bloating in certain individuals. Fennel has estrogen-like properties, raising concerns about potential harm to fetal development. However, it has been historically recommended by herbal experts, like Juliette de Bairacli Levy, for supporting milk flow in nursing animals and treating sterility in dogs and cats when combined with other herbs. So, while concerns may exist, fennel's safety may vary based on specific use cases.
