  • Hands-on workshop: Participants will prepare sample meals to take home to feed your dog(s) & cats(s).
  • Important: Your animals should not have any dietary restrictions or special menu requirements. The primary focus is on budget without ingredient or protein restrictions.
  • SFRAW Standards: Our quality and sourcing standards will be maintained. While our focus is on budget, we will not use lesser quality or questionable ingredients. No CAFO or factory farmed, conventionally raised, meat, poultry, or farm-raised seafood. Everything we use is processed humanely in USDA facilities, USDA inspected and approved for human consumption, handled properly, and never chemically denatured, treated with stabilizers, preservatives, or biological control agents, otherwise “sterilized”, HPP processed, or irradiated.

During our hands-on workshop we will teach you how to put together a DIY menu plan for your raw fed pets with a focus on keeping costs low while sourcing a variety of high-quality ingredients sourced from producers using more humane practices and better than average farming methods.

Budget is the primary focus for this class. The menu plan will include buying bulk cases of raw meaty bones, organs, meat, seafood & extras which you will need to prep and organize.

One of the primary benefits of this workshop class is learning invaluable tips, tricks & shortcuts to preparing and feeding a budget focused fresh foods diet to your animals. We'll share practical advice, honed from over 35-years of DIY raw feeding, to make preparing your pet's meals more affordable, easy, and fun.

Which option will you choose? With so many options and conflicting theories/approaches to fresh food diets, it can be overwhelming and confusing to decide. In this class, we explore and compare some of the most popular choices available to you as a fresh food feeder to help you make a full assessment in determining what makes the most sense for your animals currently. Diets Juliette di Bairclay Levy (published in 1955) to Dr. Pitcairn (published in 1983 - where Kasie started) on through to Wendy Volhard, Ian Billinghurst, Kymythy Schultze, Tom Lonsdale, Steve Brown, Lew Olson and others. In addition to the different published diets, we'll review different methods of feeding including: adhering to strict AAFCO/NRC guidelines using spreadsheets or calculators, "balance over time" menus, prey model, "gorge and fast", home-cooking, TCM menus, ketogenic, and Rotational Mono Feeding (RMF) plans. Educational & instructional class only with plenty of Q&A; attendees will not prepare meals or take home food from this class.
