TICK BITE OIL

  • FOR USE ON ALL VENOMOUS INSECT BITES INCLUDING TICK, MOSQUITO, BEE/WASP & SPIDER BITES
  • 100% CERTIFIED ORGANIC ESSENTIAL OIL AROMATHERPY BLEND FOR DOGS
  • 0.5 OZ DROPPER BOTTLE

A bite soothing, anti-bacterial, anti-viral blend used to help promote healing and prevent infection.

RECCOMENDED USE: Apply to bites after removing ticks. Wash the bite with soap and water or a dilute Betadine solution. Using your finger or a Q-Tip, apply 2 drops directly to each tick bite. Reapply as needed, 1-2x/day, until the bite is healed.

For natural protection against tick bites, we recommend outfitting your dog with an Amber Crown Baltic Amber Collar and applying our Tick Spritz (or the DIY Tick Spritz) tick repellent formula immediately before entering tick infested areas (at the trailhead). Check your dog carefully for ticks after outdoor activities (a flea comb works well, as does wiping dogs down with a white cloth towel or lint roller right after walks). Remove ticks as soon as possible, ideally within 24-hours.

INGREDIENTS: Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils of *Rose Geranium, *Lavender, *Thyme, *Eucalyptus, *Oregano, *Cinnamon, *Hyssop and Rara Avis Flower Remedy Blend in a *Organic Extra Virgin Cold-Pressed Olive Oil base. *Certified Organic

“PATCH TEST” FIRST FOR INDIVIDUAL REACTIONS & SAFE USE: Prior to actual use, we recommend placing a single drop of this essential oil blend to a small area of skin such as the inside underarm or inside of the rear leg (a spot with little fur, away from the head). After application, watch for adverse reactions within the first 24-hours. Possible reactions include skin irritation, headache, nausea, respiratory complaints, or dizziness.

IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT TICK BORNE DISEASE (TBD), save the tick (store in freezer in a sealed container/plastic bag or small jar) to submit for laboratory testing. Attach the tick with a little tape onto a piece of paper or put the tick into a sealed bag with a paper towel. If possible, make note of:

  • Date of bite
  • Location where tick attached (i.e., name of park, city, residence/address)
  • Location on body where tick was removed (e.g., lower right leg, back of neck, etc.)
  • Any other details about physical symptoms or location where tick was encountered

NATURAL REMEDY SUGGESTION We strongly recommend administering a single dose of the homeopathic remedy LEDUM 200C (2 pellets, given BID for 1-2 days) immediately after finding a tick bite.
