Alligator tenderloin comes from the tail; it is white meat with a mild flavor similar to chicken, but with a texture close to rabbit. It is a cooling meat according to TCM, and a novel protein that works really well for a lot of pets with leaky gut and food sensitivities. It is high in protein and nearly fat-free. Be aware that (outside of very specific health conditions) a very low-fat diet is not a good idea for most dogs or cats, especially long-term.
