Our mission is to humanely raise healthy animals while working within our ecosystem to responsibly steward the land, and respect the humans that make it all happen.
Our animals rotate pastures to improve soil and animal health, while producing incredible and honest meat. All animals are fed an organic, non-GMO grain and we would never even think of giving hormones to anyone.
Our beautiful and silly turkeys spend their days roaming our pastures, foraging for goodies, roosting in their turkey church, and gobbling in unison.
Since 2014, we have been committed to raising slower growing, incredibly flavorful, pasture-raised turkeys. If there is anything we’ve learned in business and in farming, its important to be flexible. After raising pure heritage breed turkeys for the first 8 years, we now raise a breed called ‘Broad Breasted Black’. We want our animals to thrive from their first day, so sourcing poults (and chicks and ducklings) close to our farm is very important. Turkey poults are extra sensitive, especially during their first few weeks of life, and need extra care from the first moment they hatch. We are able to source Broad Breasted Blacks just a few hours from our farm which means we can drive to pick them up. This equals less travel time which in turn means less loss and a strong start. We want to raise animals that will grow strong and healthy and thrive in our pastures. So bring on the broad breasted! This breed of turkey is slower growing than the commercial breeds and is super active, which equates to incredibly nutritious flavor. We raise these silly dinosaurs with the same integrity as always; moving to new pasture every other day, protected by our guard dog Bunny while gobbling and roaming our pastures under the sun (and fog).
