Gaia Guy knew our zero waste customers and friends wanted a truly planet-based solution. Let's face it, as nice as nylon is, we don't need to use it to brush our teeth. Boar bristles have been used for centuries and are still used in many brushes so it just makes sense to use these hygienic and less abrasive natural fiber bristles. The bristles are either sheared and used or often are saved from the landfill after boars have been dispatched for meat purposes. You are saving these natural boar hair bristles from creating methane gases. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: This is a totally natural product and as such it doesn't act like plastic toothbrushes. As you can see from the feedback, some bristles come out as the natural bamboo brush is getting sort of set to climate and moisture. Bamboo expands in humid air and can then contract when it gets dry. Do not buy if you aren't able to simply remove a few bristles from your pet's mouth that may fall out.
