Our mission is to encourage a life of health and fulfillment with friendly experiences, top-notch beef of unmatched taste, and a deep passion for food.

Our vision is to be the trusted source of natural, sustainable Piedmontese beef that delivers authenticity and honesty in every interaction, upholding quality and integrity beyond the beef industry, from the ranches and land we work with to how we help our customers live a healthy life.

With Certified Piedmontese Beef, you can genuinely experience the Piedmontese difference.

Why Piedmontese?

Sometimes you crave premium-tasting beef, but not the calories and fat that come with it. Piedmontese beef is the answer, shipped right to your front door. The Piedmontese breed is unique in its naturally-occurring genetic makeup, developing extra muscle mass and very little fat due to having an inactive myostatin gene. Ounce-for-ounce, a serving of Certified Piedmontese beef is over 20% lower in calories than salmon but packs 10% more protein. Despite the absence of fatty marbling typical of traditional breeds, the muscle fibers of Piedmontese cattle remain short and remarkably tender.

When our founder first discovered the unique Piedmontese beef, he knew he had found authentic beef taste, a beef that his family would enjoy and be healthy eating. Chefs across the country rave about the taste quality of Piedmontese beef, its deep flavor, and exceptional tenderness. In the end, Certified Piedmontese beef is a delicious source of protein that consumers can feel good about eating.

The Future of Beef

85% of grass-fed beef in the USA is imported, and we're part of that small 15% that raises and produces our beef in the great Midwest. Certified Piedmontese Grass Finished cattle are under a strict zero-grain policy and have a grass-fed diet from start to finish, eating only grass and forage as nature intended. The meat produced is leaner with an impressive nutritional profile. Grass Finished beef contains less mono-saturated fat and calories and has a higher density of key nutrients such as antioxidants and vitamins. Beef from our Grass Finished Program has five times the omega-3 fatty acids and double the CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) of grain-finished beef, making it the healthiest beef option.

Our Ranching Standards

Our Lone Creek Cattle Company program is designed to merge Piedmontese cattle with the finest ranching practices to produce a generous supply of gourmet beef. To maintain the breed's integrity, we only partner with producers willing to meet our strictly defined ranching standards that meet all Verified Natural Beef™ requirements. Lone Creek ranches are located across the Midwest, where Piedmontese cattle are given free rein on the vast expanse of grassy prairies.

History

Piedmontese beef is an Italian-heritage breed of cattle deeply intertwined with the robust history of fine wines and rich cuisines of the Piedmont region in northwestern Italy, tracing its roots back to the 1600s. Hundreds of years later and 5,000 miles from Piedmont. Certified Piedmontese raises all-natural, healthy Piedmontese cattle on the mixed-grass prairies of the Midwest with fresh water from the Ogallala Aquifer.

Progressive ranchers imported the first Piedmontese cattle to North America in the mid-1970s over a five-year process. Today, the Piedmontese breed represents less than 1% of all cattle in North America. Certified Piedmontese provides the country with a superior product with a reputation for eating quality that rivals Wagyu and premium Angus products but without the heavy marbling and significant pockets of fat that many consumers associate with premium beef.

The Certified Piedmontese program stands by transparency and accountability throughout its operations. It is source-verified by Where Food Comes From Inc. Certified Piedmontese has set the bar for sustainable practices from ranch to corporate office as a ranch-to-fork operation rooted in the dedication to our land, ranchers, cattle, consumers, and products.

Raised the Right Way

Certified Piedmontese focuses on upholding high ethical standards to raise healthy cows by employing humane, low-stress handling techniques and cutting-edge animal science and stockmanship research. The cattle are raised in the most comfortable environment possible. Progressive ranching protocols such as EID (Electronic Identification) tagging technology, database tracking initiatives, DNA testing to confirm heritage and voluntary third-party audits are utilized to ensure we provide beef that meets our high care, handling, and quality standards.

Certified Piedmontese Dynasty Program cattle are our 100% purebred Piedmontese cattle. Double the strain of inactive myostatin gene, double the leanness, tenderness, and rarity.

Certified Piedmontese premium beef snacks include various flavors of jerky, beef sticks, and biltong. On-the-go protein powerhouses with no artificial ingredients added. Grain Finished and Grass Finished options are available.

All are made from 100% Certified Piedmontese Beef.

Nutrition

The nutritional profile doesn't lie. Certified Piedmontese beef has fewer calories, less fat, and higher protein per ounce than beef from other breeds, making it an ideal source of lean protein for a healthy diet. A serving of Certified Piedmontese beef has even fewer calories ounce-for-ounce than salmon, yet it challenges Prime-grade beef products in tenderness. The combination of leanness and tenderness results in a consistently healthy and delicious dining experience for those who won’t settle for anything less.
