$125/Year Standard Individual Annual Membership Fee

Thank you for your interest in becoming a member or renewing your membership! Below are the details about our membership program, including guidelines to ensure responsible use and continued support for our community.

Membership Overview

• Fee: $125 per year (non-refundable, non-transferable, and not pro-rated).

• Duration: Membership begins immediately upon joining and is valid for one year from the start date.

• Eligibility: One membership per individual or couple.

Membership Guidelines

1. Memberships Are Per Individual or Couple, Not Per Animal

   • Memberships are intended for the person (or couple/partners) responsible for purchasing food and supplies for the humans and animals in their household.

   • Memberships are not designed to cover entire households of roommates, extended family members, or multiple households.

2. Sharing Your Membership

   • Couples/partners may share one membership if they live together and share responsibility for their animals.

   • If your relationship ends and you maintain separate households with animals, we kindly ask that you each set up your own memberships. If you are sharing custody of animals across households, you may continue to share the same membership until circumstances change.

3. Non-Transferable Policy & Exceptions

   • Memberships cannot be transferred to another person under normal circumstances. However, exceptions can be made for donations:

     • For example, if you move away, your animal passes away, or other life changes occur, you may donate the remainder of your membership to a friend or family member. Please contact us to arrange this transfer.

4. Responsible Use of Membership

   • Memberships are for personal use only and cannot be shared with non-members. Allowing non-members to use your account violates our agreement and may result in cancellation of your membership—something we truly wish to avoid!

How to Help Others While Supporting SFRAW

We understand that you may want to help friends or family access SFRAW products or services. Here’s how to handle these situations responsibly:

a) Encourage Them to Join as Members

• If a friend wants SFRAW food but cannot visit in person, they should become a member themselves by paying the annual fee. Once they join, you can pick up their orders or shop on their behalf under their account.

b) Payment Plan Options

• If someone is interested in joining but needs financial flexibility, we offer payment plans! They can contact us directly to set up a plan that works for them. We’re happy to help make membership accessible while maintaining the sustainability of our programs.

c) Referral Cards

• If you’d like a friend or family member to try SFRAW before committing to membership, give them a referral card! This allows them a one-time shopping experience as a guest. Plus, when they use your referral card, you’ll be entered into our monthly drawing for a $100 shopping spree!
