During the innovative grinding process, the temperature does not reach over 40 degrees. This raw carob powder has a full-bodied, sweet, smooth, malt taste.

Have you tested your raw carob powder for contaminants such as lead and other heavy metals?
Our raw carob powder does not contain any heavy metal contamination. This was confirmed by a laboratory test that we have done a few years ago. There is no reason for any change in this with our carob because all the carob you purchase from The Australian Carob Co. only comes from our own, certified organic carob orchard. We harvest, wash, process, and pack using proprietary equipment/machinery that is only used for our carob. We are strictly a carob-only organic orchard, manufacturing, and processing facility. Do any of your products contain added sweeteners, additives or preservatives?
No. Our carob powders, carob syrup and carob kibble nibbles are naturally sweet. The sweetness is 100% natural due to the varieties of carobs that we grow and nurture at our organic orchard. We do not add any additives, colors or preservatives to our products. We love our carob trees and give every carob pod the best quality care possible, to taste great and to be appreciated when consumed like it deserves.

Nearly all the world’s carob farmers choose carob varieties for their seed quality and not the pods as seeds made into locust bean gum are far more lucrative than pods made into carob powder. Our AUSTRALIAN CAROB products are made from carob pods grown on carob trees selectively chosen for their thick, rich, luscious pods — not for the seeds. This makes a world of difference.
