TOPPER: raw whole chicken heart

FEEDING: Intended for supplemental or intermittent feeding. Serve raw. Feed 2% of your pet’s ideal body weight/day or amount required to maintain ideal lean body composition.

Step 1: Feed this food exclusively.

Step 2: Expand variety to feeding four or more proteins, in rotation, ongoing.

PLEASE ADD additional omega-3 fatty acids when feeding this food. We recommend the following:

FOR DOGS: add 10% wild seafood such as frozen sardines, anchovies, wild salmon, oysters, salmon skeins/roe or cod livers to their menu.

FOR CATS: add pasture-raised grass-finished A2 raw milk butter, Iberico wild foraging leaf lard.

Alternatively, you can supplement either dogs or cats with SFRAW Red Gold Raw or a high-quality algae oil capsule such as Nordic Naturals Algae Omega or desiccated Wild Caught Fish Eggs capsules from Ancestral Supplements. We DO NOT recommend fish/salmon, calamari, krill or other marine oil supplements.

CATS & DOGS WHO ARE AT RISK FOR DILATED CARDIOMYOPATHY (ENLARGED HEART): Synthetic taurine (an essential amino acid for cats) is not added to this food. Meat, especially heart tissue and dark muscle meats, contain adequate amounts of taurine. However, processing, grinding, and freezing/defrosting lowers the amount that is naturally present (highest the moment the animal is slaughtered- the fresher the meat, the more taurine present). You may choose to supplement this diet with additional synthetic taurine. The suggested amount is 1,000 mg/week fed in divided doses or 1x/week is okay.

HANDLING: KEEP FROZEN BEFORE USE. Do not microwave. Defrost at under 40 degrees; feed or refreeze within 2 days.
